Yamasong: March of the Hollows

February 15, 2019

SYNOPSIS

An automaton girl and tortoise warrior journey with a band of outlaws on an incredible quest. Their one hope is to find a legendary relic that will defeat a sinister mechanized army and save the creatures of their world.

“Yamasong: March of Hollows” continues in the epic puppet storytelling tradition of “Dark Crystal” with a strong dose of Studio Ghibli’s “Princess Mononoke.”

Dark Dunes Productions has partnered with filmmaker Sam Koji Hale to bring this fantastical puppet vision to life. Yamasong: March of the Hollows is the feature length sequel to the original, award-winning short film Yamasong. Bringing this film to life is an incredible cast including Nathan Fillion and Abigail Breslin as the film’s leads Shojun and Nani, joined by Whoopi Goldberg, Malcolm McDowell, Bruce Davison, Freida Pinto, George Takei, Peter Weller and Ed Asner.

Dark Crystal had a US Box office over $40M and achieved $10K per screen averages in week one and two.

Princess Mononoke saw $26k per screen week one and over $13K per screen week two.

Film Threat - "Thanks to immaculate design and puppetry work, amazing acting, and a fully realized, vividly crafted world Yamasong: March of the Hollows is a spellbinding adventure."
